Now taking fractional CTO and advisory engagements
July 18, 2026 · Amit Solanki
For the last twenty years I’ve built software platforms and the teams that run them — six years as Lead Software Architect at WeWork through its hyper-growth phase, then eight years at Checkmate, rising from Head of Integrations to SVP of Engineering while growing the integrations organization from a single developer to the team behind 130+ API integrations and 20,000+ live restaurant locations. Across my career the integration count passes 200.
I’m now doing that work for a small number of companies at a time, in three shapes:
- Fractional CTO — ongoing, part-time ownership of technical direction for companies that need executive engineering leadership before they’re ready for a full-time hire.
- Advisory — a lightweight retainer for founders, CTOs, and investors: architecture reviews, integration strategy, technical due diligence, and a sounding board before big technical bets.
- Integration & platform consulting — scoped engagements where the 200-integration playbook applies to a specific problem: partner APIs, enterprise rollouts, scale reviews.
This site now reflects that. The case studies go deeper than a portfolio card can, and this space will carry regular notes on engineering leadership and integrations at scale — the first proper essays are already in the works.
If any of this sounds like a problem you’re staring at, the fastest way to find out whether I can help is a short call — the booking link is right below.
